EuroMed Justice’s activities related to legal aid will contribute to legal drafting and the harmonisation of national legislation with international standards, as well as to the identification of best practices and models in implementing legal aid.

Two seminars will be organised with the objective to develop the capacities of the relevant national stakeholders involved in the implementation of the legal aid, as well as on law drafting, in line with international standards and on harmonisation of national legislation with international norms.

The seminars will build on the main findings of the “Handbook which identifies and describes possible approaches and best practices to improve access to justice and legal aid” developed during the previous phase of EuroMed Justice.

A Regional Research updating  the Handbook with the new legal aid developments in the SPCs together with a list of standards and good practices which can be adopted at national level, will also be conducted.
